A Passion For Life ‘26
Training Resources for Homegroups
What is A Passion For Life?
In short, it’s a nationwide gospel mission in the build up to Easter 2026. It’s a focused period of evangelism, during which Christians and churches across the country share the gospel with friends, family, neighbours and people in their communities under a common banner with a shared mission campaign identity.
We’re committed to being a part of it as a church, and see homegroups as playing a key role in helping us to be equipped and envisioned to share Jesus with our community in March and beyond.
We’re asking all homegroups to take a break from following the Sunday sermons and start the new year using the Passion For Life training material as we build up to a month of mission in March.
Resources for Personal Witness
Passion For Life have put together on their website 29 new video resources to help train Christians for personal witness with teaching from Rico Tice, Lizzy Smallwood, Graham Daniels, Phil Knox, Femi Kalejaiye and more.
What they have produced is essentially a ‘pick and mix’ menu of sessions, each consisting of a 20-minute video plus leader’s guide and small group Bible study making up a session of approximately 1 hour. Everything you need for each session is available on the site - the videos, leaders guide and even the transcripts of the films if that’s helpful too. It’s all very helpfully laid out and easy to access.
The material is split into Four main sections:
Beginning with the Bible
Sessions to both motivate and instruct with God's Word, building a thoroughly biblical understanding of personal and corporate witness.
Connecting with People
Sessions to encourage believers to be themselves and make the most of the opportunities to connect with people that the Lord gives us
Starting Out
Sessions cover the basics of personal witness with lots of practical encouragement and guidance.
Going Further
Sessions to prepare believers to go further in their personal witness both in terms of readiness to help people meet, trust and follow Jesus and readiness to help different sorts of people meet Jesus.
We’re asking all homegroups to take a break from Bible Studies following the Sunday sermons and start the new year using this material as we build up to a month of mission in March.
Over January and February and March we anticipate most groups will have time to look at 6 sessions in total, once Prayer meetings, and Joint Training and Prayer evenings with partner churches are taken into account. Some may well have more time than that - especially day time groups. Here’s the likely breakdown:
11th - 25th Jan - Three sessions
8th-15th Feb - Two Sessions
w/c 8 Mar - Final session
We would encourage you as leaders to work out which sessions you think might be most helpful for your groups - and we would ask you to make sure you’re including content from each section. If you would like to follow a suggested plan, see below:
Why people need the gospel - BB2 - Graham Daniels
Your witness where God has placed you - BB10 - Rico Tice
Connecting with neighbours - CP3 - Anna Price
Explaining the gospel - SO3 - Richard Leadbetter
Helping people meet Jesus in his word - GF1 - Christine Armstrong
Keeping going - SO6 - Graham Daniels
