Sacred Marriage
If you're married, how is your marriage? Good? Bad? Somewhere in-between!
Starting in September we are going to host the 'Sacred Marriage' course with one session a month for 6 months.
To make it as easy as possible for those with children to attend we will meet on Sunday afternoons 2.30pm-4pm at Green Lane and will be offering simple childcare.
A DIFFERENT WAY TO THINK ABOUT MARRIAGE
Whether you've been married for six months or forty years, it’s easy to view marriage through a self-centered lens—focusing on what we get out of it. This 6-session course completely flips the script. It reframes your relationship Biblically as a beautiful, divine laboratory designed by God to shape your character, deepen your faith, and draw you closer to Him.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each week, we will watch a short video lesson from Gary Thomas, followed by honest, encouraging, and confidential group discussions with other couples to grow spiritually alongside each other.
No matter what season your marriage is in right now—whether you are thriving, feeling a bit disconnected, or just navigating the busy chaos of life—this study will give you a fresh, life-giving perspective on your marriage.
COURSE OUTLINE
Session 1 - God's Purpose for Marriage
Reframing marriage as a spiritual discipline designed to help you know God more intimately.
Session 2 - The Refining Power of Marriage
How the challenges of shared life expose our flaws and gently shape our character.
Session 3 - The God-Centered Spouse
Shifting your focus from what you can get from your partner to how you can serve them.
Session 4 - Marriage: The Love Laboratory
Practicing the difficult, daily work of biblical love, patience, and true respect.
Session 5 - Sexual Saints
Understanding how marital intimacy is intended to be a beautiful reflection of divine love.
Session 6 - Sacred History
Cultivating a long-term legacy of perseverance, shared memories, and spiritual growth.

COSTS
We are charging £16 per adult to cover a course booklet and refreshments, and £6 per child you intend to bring to the sessions (to cover refreshments for them).
