Who we are
We are a community of people who want to get to grips with what the Bible says about what the good news of Jesus means for the 21st century.
FOLLOWING JESUS TOGETHER
Passionately
Jesus summed up all the teaching in the Bible with two simple commandments:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and mind. Love your neighbour as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-40)
At Grace Church we are passionate about following Jesus, about seeking to worship him and live our lives in a way that pleases him. We’re passionate about serving and caring for our neighbours. We strive to be a warm and welcoming church, but we want our care to go deeper than that - to be a community that thinks about other people’s needs as much as our own.
Courageously
Jesus said:
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
At Grace Church we know that life won’t always be easy and we know that following Jesus won’t always be easy either. So we encourage each other to be courageous in the way that we face trials, persevere in our faith and reach out with the good news of what God has given us in Jesus. We know that the Holy Spirit helps us as we do so.
Increasingly
We want to grow in two ways:
In our knowledge and love of Jesus - so we’re serious about reading the Bible and applying it to our lives.
In number - so we’re active in sharing our faith, welcoming newcomers to our community and looking for opportunities to plant new congregations as and when we are able.A free six-week course for anyone who has been bereaved.
